The Roman however encounter problems with their ship. The Roman fleet did their repairs and trading in Goa. Suddenly, it came to their realisation that they may ask the heroic Merong Mahawangsa to escort a Roman prince to Southeast Asia. The aim was that the prince was to wed a beautiful Chinese princess from the Han Dynasty. And they soon began their journey to meet the beautiful princess.
The Chinese princess and the Roman prince were supposed to meet halfway and be married on neutral grounds. However, things did not go as smooth as it was planned. The pirate nation of Geruda decided to kidnap the Chinese princess and use her as ransom.
